This event marks a significant milestone in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem in Southeast Asia, connecting startups and businesses to drive digital transformation through AI generation.
GenAI Open Innovation attracted around 200 carefully selected guests, including representatives from startups and businesses looking to explore collaboration opportunities.
According to a report by GenAI Foundation, 92% of AI startups created in ASEAN are focusing on the business-to-business (B2B) model.
Therefore, the GenAI Open Innovation initiative was launched as the first official program connecting startups with businesses. The program goes beyond simply connecting and networking; it also provides carefully selected practical support to promote research development or proof-of-concept projects between businesses and startups.
According to Mr. Do Tien Thinh, Deputy Director of NIC Vietnam, the GenAI Open Innovation initiative is an excellent example of how businesses and startups can collaborate to solve practical problems using AI.
“NIC is proud to support this platform and is committed to fostering collaborations to bring innovation and economic growth to Vietnam and the region,” said Mr. Do Tien Thinh.
Many businesses have participated in the program, such as Sovico Group, the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) under Petrovietnam, Globe Telecom, Phong Vu, WebTVAsia, Pixlr, Galaxy Technology Services, etc.
These leading corporations operate in the banking, telecommunications, oil and gas, media, retail, and technology sectors, demonstrating diverse potential for collaboration.
