In an interview with Tien Phong newspaper , Phi Linh recounted for the first time the most traumatic stage accident of her 20-year career. The incident occurred in 2011 while she was hosting the Circus Gala on VTV Cab. When appearing on stage with a horse, the animal suddenly became afraid of the lights and threw the female MC off. Phi Linh said the fall was quite dangerous because her leg got caught in the saddle, and her head hit a brick in the wings. "I had a headache for three days, but luckily I was able to continue working," she recounted. Despite frequently appearing in major shows, Phi Linh believes that what she cares about most is not her own prominence but the emotions of the artists and the audience. The female MC says she doesn't want anyone on stage to have an "incomplete moment," so she always tries to fill the void with gentleness and connection.
"I don't seek prominence or fame. My success is when I, as an artist, and my show shine, and have moments that connect with the audience," she shared. Being private about her personal life, Phi Linh said many people were shocked when she got married because she had never publicly revealed her relationship. According to the female MC, that decision reflects her personality – always cautious in every choice. Phi Linh also admitted that her husband is her partner in both work and life. "We both love our work and talk about it endlessly. Many people say that I owe my success to my husband's support and companionship, and that's absolutely true. Looking at my achievements, people will understand that I've found a true partner, someone who stands behind my success and is a wonderful gift in my life," she shared. Phi Linh affirmed that she has never had to choose between work and family or been forced to step back from her career. However, she still makes time for her family and understands the sacrifices her loved ones make. After 20 years in the profession, Phi Linh said she never thought she was good enough. She wants to continue learning and pursuing her career at any age. “I want to host shows until I’m old. I will work diligently, seriously, and contribute even more beautiful things. If I’m not good today, I’ll learn from it tomorrow to do better,” the female MC said.
