According to Hai Duong Newspaper , Yody Fashion Joint Stock Company has just been fined 15 million VND for providing and sharing images of Vietnam's map but not showing or incorrectly showing national sovereignty .

Specifically, on April 12, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Hai Duong Provincial Police) issued a decision to administratively fine Yody Company VND 15 million for sharing a video with a map of Vietnam missing Hoang Sa and Truong Sa.

After determining that the incident had signs of violations related to the sovereignty of islands and national territorial sovereignty, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Hai Duong City Police, and Viet Hoa Ward Police invited the company's representative to work and conduct verification measures according to regulations. The verification results showed that on April 3, Yody assigned an employee to film and edit a video celebrating the 9th anniversary of its establishment. This employee accessed a website on the Internet, downloaded an image of a map of Vietnam without the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos to use as a document to attach locations where the company has branches.

The company's leadership then assigned the video to a department for review, but the department did not notice that the video contained images of a map of Vietnam missing the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. On April 4, the fashion company shared the video on 53 fanpage accounts created, established, and used by the company.

After receiving the feedback, the company said it immediately reviewed all related content and admitted that the above omission had occurred in a video conveying a thank you message to customers on the occasion of the company's 9th birthday.

"As a Vietnamese company, founded by Vietnamese people, we are fully aware that this mistake cannot be excused. Therefore, we would like to seriously listen to all feedback and suggestions from press agencies and media organizations, with an open-minded spirit to correct mistakes and avoid repeating similar mistakes in the future," the company stated.

At the same time, the company said it has revised and adjusted all relevant content on media channels.
