According to Red Star News, Chi Guangying, 21 years old, came to Egypt alone on August 9. However, more than a month later, the Chinese female tourist suddenly and mysteriously disappeared.

In a post looking for her child on social media, Chi Guangying's mother revealed that her daughter was passionate about Egypt and the pyramids. After graduating from university and not finding a satisfactory job, she decided to travel alone to the "land of the Pharaohs" to travel , explore the culture and natural wonders.
According to information from Chi Guangying's family and friends, the last time they received a message from her was at 7:11 a.m. on September 21. The incident was immediately reported to the Chinese Embassy in Egypt to assist in the search.

By dawn on September 30, the official social networking site of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior had updated the initial investigation results of Chi Guangying's case.
Surprisingly, the female tourist is currently being arrested by the local police for her involvement in an online fraud gang. The criminal group consists of 8 members, 3 of whom are Chinese nationals (including Chi Guangying).
According to the post, the gang's network began by luring victims to Egypt, kidnapping them, and then asking their families to pay ransoms through electronic platforms. At the time of their arrest at an apartment, the suspects were found to be in possession of weapons including stun guns, knives, and phones containing evidence of the crime.
The case has been handed over by the police to the Egyptian Public Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.
