T1 is too strong.

T1 just finished the LCK Cup 2026 group stage with a perfect record of 5 wins after a dominant 3-0 victory over Dplus KIA (DK). This result earned the Baron group two crucial points, officially leveling the score at 14-14 with the Elder Dragon group.

Marksman Peyz had a brilliant performance.

In game 1, T1 proactively implemented a "draining" playstyle to drain the opponent's resources. Faker, playing Azir, completely controlled the mid lane, setting the stage for sieges. Although DK's marksman Smash put in a valiant effort with Ezreal, T1 still won the decisive team fight at the Baron pit. The red team secured the Baron buff and ended the game after 33 minutes.

In game 2, jungler Oner took the initiative. Playing Vi, Oner consistently locked down Showmaker's Anivia, disrupting DK's team composition. In the bot lane, Peyz (Kai'Sa) displayed devastating power with 9 kills. T1 created a 10,000 gold advantage and easily extended their lead to 2-0 with a single tower wipe.

Game 3 witnessed the most dramatic back-and-forth in the BO3 series. DK started promisingly, constantly targeting T1's bot lane duo. However, the skill of their star players helped T1 turn the tide. Peyz, playing Varus, delivered a brilliant performance, racking up 17 kills, a personal record in this year's tournament.

Despite DK's attempts to stall by securing the dragon and taking Baron at minute 35, Doran extinguished their hopes. Doran's Kennen's "Thunderstorm" at the Baron pit swept through DK's formation, allowing T1 to regain control. With the Dragon Soul and Baron buff, T1 stormed in, destroying the Nexus and securing a 3-0 victory.

At the end of the group stage, T1 led the Baron group with 5 wins and a positive record of 9. This defeat caused DK to drop to second place in the group, behind BNK FearX. The LCK Cup standings are now more tense than ever, with the points between the Baron and Elder groups tied at 14-14. The fate of both groups will be decided tomorrow, February 1st.

The highlight of the final day of competition was the clash between Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports (HLE). This was a crucial match, not only affecting the seeding positions in the Play-in round but also directly determining the winning group in the campaign.
