Introduction: The photo “Friendship of Young H'Mong Boys” was taken at Lung Cam Cultural Village, Meo Vac, Ha Giang in the spring of 2024. When entering the village, I happened to see seven (7) boys playing at the main gate, while tourists were trying to jostle to get to Pao's House - which was once the setting for the movie Pao's Story. These young H'Mong boys, each holding a bamboo musical instrument such as a flute, a panpipe, etc., looked like a real band. They were resting after their daily work hours serving tourists visiting the village. What caught my attention was their relaxed appearance, their lively conversations, their carefree laughter and the stories that these friends were sharing with each other, shining on their faces with innocent smiles. I think that in the future, the smiles reflected in this photo will always remind them of their childhood and the innocence that has faded, as each of them forges their own path to becoming a grown man. But one thing will remain the same: they will always return to this moment, this second, and this place - where they shared the most hearty laughs, the funniest stories, the most passionate friendships, the bond that is inseparable and without distance... forever preserved in this moment.
