For Noi Bai Airport ( Hanoi ) and Tho Xuan Airport (Thanh Hoa), the Civil Aviation Authority requires continued monitoring of meteorological bulletins and proposes appropriate adjustments to operational plans.

" Due to the impact of storm circulation and prolonged heavy rain, flooding may occur at airports that are not directly affected by the storm. Therefore, agencies and units in the industry need to strictly implement the instructions and fully report so that the Civil Aviation Authority can promptly grasp the information to have further instructions ," the Civil Aviation Authority noted.

Today, July 22, airlines continue to announce adjustments to flight plans.

Specifically, Vietjet Air temporarily suspended 9 flights to and from Hai Phong including: VJ1273, VJ1272, VJ1271 for the Hai Phong - Ho Chi Minh City - Hai Phong routes; VJ489, VJ488 for the Hai Phong - Can Tho - Hai Phong routes; VJ732, VJ731 for the Nha Trang - Hai Phong - Nha Trang routes; VJ724, VJ723 for the Da Nang - Hai Phong - Da Nang routes.

Temporarily suspend 12 flights to and from Thanh Hoa, including VJ1244, VJ1245, VJ1246, VJ1247, VJ248, VJ249, VJ250, VJ251, VJ1256, VJ1267 on the Ho Chi Minh City - Thanh Hoa - Ho Chi Minh City route; VJ754, VJ755 on the Da Lat - Thanh Hoa - Da Lat route.

Some other flights affected by the chain reaction may be delayed.

Vietnam Airlines also adjusted the operation plan of some flights to ensure safety for passengers and crew.

At Van Don airport, flights VN1286 and VN1287 between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don will be adjusted, expected to take off and land after 2:00 p.m. on July 22.

At Cat Bi airport on July 22, flights VN1176 and VN1177 between Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, along with VN1670 and VN1671 between Da Nang and Hai Phong will have their operating times adjusted, taking off and landing at Cat Bi after 2:00 p.m. Flights in the evening of the same day are expected to operate as planned.

At Tho Xuan airport on July 22, flights VN1276 and VN1277; VN7264 and VN7265 between Ho Chi Minh City and Tho Xuan will be operated early, taking off at Tho Xuan before 11:00. Flights VN1278 and VN1279; VN7268 and VN7269; VN7276 and VN7277 on the same day will be canceled.

At Noi Bai airport, Vietnam Airlines is closely monitoring the weather to decide on appropriate operating plans.

In addition, many domestic and international flights today may be affected by the chain reaction of storm Wipha.

Vietnam Airlines Group recommends that passengers fasten their seat belts throughout the flight, especially in complex weather conditions. Actively fastening seat belts, even when the signal light is off, is an important measure to help minimize risks when the plane encounters air turbulence.
