Dong Hoi Airport temporarily suspends operations to avoid Typhoon No. 4.

Aircraft at Noi Bai airport are being secured to protect against Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ).

The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) is tasked with directing airports in the areas affected by Typhoon No. 4, such as Dong Hoi, Da Nang , Phu Bai, Chu Lai, and Vinh, to inspect airport infrastructure and communication systems to promptly detect and address any damage, ensuring the safety of the facilities. Units are required to be on duty 24/7 and proactively update meteorological information to propose safe operational plans.

The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) will regularly update meteorological bulletins to make decisions regarding operations at airports.

Airlines must adjust flight schedules at Dong Hoi Airport and notify passengers. Flight crews should add reserve fuel for flights to airports in the storm-affected area to prepare for the possibility of having to circle or be diverted to an alternate airport.

The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority has directed the Northern and Central Airport Authorities to inspect and supervise the storm prevention and control measures implemented by units operating at airports in response to Typhoon No. 4 .

On the morning of September 19th, the tropical depression intensified into typhoon number 4, affecting operations at airports and airfields in the northern and central regions.
