On July 25, the Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) announced that it has just issued a Notice requesting the temporary suspension of circulation of goods for the batch of health protection food products Apiroca-B.
Accordingly, the Notice of the Department proposes to temporarily suspend the sale, circulation and use of goods from July 22, 2025 for the batch of health protection food products Apiroca-B (batch no: 0335001, manufacturing date: 260325, expiry date: 260327) announced by APIMED Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (address: 263/9 Ly Thuong Kiet, Phu Tho ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and is responsible for the product.
The above product batch was manufactured at APIMED Pharmaceutical Factory - Branch of APIMED Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company located at N1 Street, Phu Thanh-Vinh Thanh Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province.
According to the Food Safety Department, the reason for temporarily suspending the circulation of the Apiroca-B health food product batch is due to poor quality, the test results of vitamin B2 (Riboflavin sodium phosphate) only showed a content of 86.9 mg/tablet.
This notice is issued based on Sampling Record No. 01/250/BBLM-DKT dated May 30, 2025 of Inspection Team No. 3 according to Decision 250/QD-ATTP dated May 22, 2025 of the Department of Food Safety on Inspection of the implementation of legal provisions on food safety at establishments producing, exporting, importing, trading food ingredients, milk, functional foods and test result certificate No. 019570/VYTCC dated July 16, 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health.
Based on the request of the Head of the Inspection Team, the Department of Food Safety requests APIMED Pharmaceutical Factory - Branch of APIMED Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to contact APIMED Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company to implement handling and remedial measures within 7 days.
The above goods are only allowed to continue circulating if satisfactory corrective actions have been taken and the inspection agency has issued a notice allowing the goods to continue circulating on the market.
It is known that on sales channels, health protection food Apiroca-B is introduced as an effervescent tablet, supplementing vitamins and minerals for the body, helping to improve resistance and reduce fatigue.
