Arsenal's seventh new signing revealed.

Despite a busy summer transfer window, Arsenal show no signs of stopping as they continue negotiations to sign young central defender Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have contacted Rennes to open negotiations. The price tag for 20-year-old center-back Jacquet is around 20 million euros.

Despite having only made 12 appearances in the French Ligue 1 for Rennes, Jacquet is considered one of the most promising talents in French football. With his impressive height of 1.90 m, he is a key player for the national youth teams and was included in the European U19 Championship Team of the Year last year.

For the first half of last season, Jacquet was loaned to Clermont in Ligue 2 before being recalled by Rennes in January and quickly proving his worth. Jacquet can play well at both center back and right back.

Arsenal are pursuing Jacquet with the ambition of building a consistently competitive squad, ready for any competition for many years to come.
