The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and departments, branches and units not to be subjective or negligent in the work of preventing and controlling diseases in livestock and poultry; Strengthen the implementation of measures to prevent and control diseases in livestock and poultry according to the provisions of the Law on Veterinary Medicine, documents guiding the implementation of the Law and directive documents of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , and the Provincial People's Committee; In which, focusing on the following contents:
Deploy and organize the implementation of disinfection and vaccination for livestock according to the issued plans, and provide additional vaccination for livestock; Especially increase the vaccination rate in areas with old epidemics, high-risk areas, localities at risk of being affected by severe cold, etc. Direct specialized agencies to grasp the disease situation in animals in localities, continue to effectively implement disease prevention and control to ensure food supply before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.
Proactively monitor livestock diseases to detect early, promptly warn, and thoroughly handle new diseases when they arise; Strictly handle cases of failure to report diseases, selling, slaughtering sick animals, animals suspected of being sick, and dumping dead animals into the environment, leading to widespread disease spread, causing frustration among people and the community; Timely and fully report on disease situations from the village/hamlet/hamlet level to the commune, district, and province levels in accordance with current regulations.
Strengthen quarantine management, transportation control, and slaughter control of animals and animal products, especially in the quarantine of livestock and poultry for breeding purposes, and organize the prevention and strict handling of cases of illegal transportation of animals and animal products into and out of Vietnam.
At the same time, direct press agencies to organize information, propaganda, and guidance for people on measures to prevent and control epidemics in livestock; content appropriate to each type of livestock, risk areas, and harmful effects of epidemics; disease prevention measures such as vaccination, hygiene, disinfection with lime powder, chemicals, and biosafety farming.
