Strengthening cooperation, enhancing the development of Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town

On the afternoon of March 25, in Nghi Son town, the Standing Committee of Nghi Son Town Party Committee, Thanh Hoa province and the Standing Committee of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee, Nghe An province held a signing ceremony of an agreement on cooperation, socio-economic development, national defense - security, Party building and political system between Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town until 2025.

Attending the signing ceremony were comrade Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; comrade Bui Thanh An, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee, leaders of departments, branches and unions of Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town.

At the signing ceremony, comrade Trinh Xuan Phu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghi Son town and comrade Le Truong Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hoang Mai town spoke and discussed the basic features of the socio -economic development, national defense and security, Party building work, and political system building from the beginning of the term (2020-2025) to 2023 and key tasks in 2024 of the two localities.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Phu, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghi Son town spoke at the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, the leaders of Nghi Son town also reported the draft agreement on Cooperation in socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system between Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town until 2025. Accordingly, the two localities will coordinate cooperation, comprehensive development in socio-economic, national defense and security, Party building and political system; promote the advantages of each locality, in accordance with the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces.

Regarding economic development and investment attraction: The two sides will coordinate, exchange experiences, and contribute ideas in the process of planning and building socio-economic development plans according to the general plan; consult on the orientation of regional linkage development in building and completing planning reports, building a 5-year plan for 2025 - 2030 to serve the Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030; cooperate and link to introduce the potential, advantages and investment opportunities of the two localities and continue to coordinate with the functional agencies of the two provinces to attract projects to Nghi Son Economic Zone, Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park, Hoang Mai 2, Dong Hoi.

Comrade Nguyen The Anh, Chairman of Nghi Son Town People's Committee reported on the draft agreement on Cooperation in socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system between Nghi Son Town and Hoang Mai Town.

Strengthen cooperation in coordinating the protection of marine resources, aquatic resources, and marine environment; cooperate in linking and consuming agricultural products; cooperate and support in forest management and protection, especially forest fire prevention and fighting in border areas between the two localities; cooperate in attracting investment and developing trade and services in accordance with the planning and advantages of each locality.

Regarding culture and society: Strengthen support and exchange of experiences in managing physical training and sports activities between the two localities; actively coordinate to implement the tourism development cooperation program between Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town; survey, develop and announce common tourism products between the two localities. In addition, the two sides will also focus on coordination in the fields of natural resources and environment, granting land use right certificates; national defense and security.

Regarding the work of Party building and the political system: Nghi Son town and Hoang Mai town will create conditions for Party agencies, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations to exchange information and work experience, focusing on exchanging information and experience in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, managing media, press, and electronic information portals; implementing organizational restructuring; and inspection and supervision work.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Bui Thanh An, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The two young towns are both identified as growth poles of the two provinces. Therefore, he suggested that in the coming time, the two localities should focus on coordinating, learning, and exchanging experiences in infrastructure development, seaports, economic zones and logistics; in attracting investment, especially attracting large projects.

The two sides also need to strengthen coordination in solving problems arising in the development process, on experiences in merging and implementing urban government models; exchange on tourism development, craft villages and marine economy, on labor resources and labor supply for industrial zones in the two localities. In addition, focus on implementing well the work of protecting natural resources - environment and security and order in the area, especially the border area and learn from and exchange with each other in the work of building the Party and the political system, thereby building the two towns to develop more and more, worthy of being the two growth poles of the two provinces.

On behalf of the leaders of Thanh Hoa province, comrade Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the fact that the Standing Committee of Nghi Son Town Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Hoang Mai Town Party Committee have proactively and actively coordinated to prepare and organize the signing of the cooperation agreement on socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building work and political system between the two localities until 2025.

In order for the comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two localities to be effectively implemented, contributing to the development of the two localities and the two provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee suggested that the two towns pay attention to enhancing coordination, information exchange, and doing a good job in planning and building infrastructure in each locality.

He also suggested that the two towns strengthen coordination and support to promote economic development, especially calling for investment in developing industrial parks near seaports, processing and manufacturing industries; energy industry; supporting business development to attract investment in Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial parks in Hoang Mai town; in which, focusing on developing logistics and transportation; supporting businesses exporting goods by container from Nghe An province through Nghi Son Port.

The Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee also proposed that the two localities strengthen links and cooperation in building, developing and training high-quality human resources in line with the needs of enterprises in Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial parks in Hoang Mai town; at the same time, coordinate well in ensuring security, order and social safety; advise the province and central ministries and branches to do a good job of ensuring the environment in the area.

Regarding the work of Party building and the political system, he suggested that the Party agencies, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations of the two towns exchange information and experience, learn from good models and practices in Party building work of Hoang Mai town, such as: admitting fishermen into the Party, participating in Party activities when fishing at sea; admitting students, university students, and young people preparing to join the army in Nghi Son town.

The Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee suggested that after the conference, the two localities should organize to disseminate and deploy to cadres and party members in a synchronous and serious manner the content of the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, thereby transforming it into action to contribute to bringing the two localities to a new level of development.
