Strengthening tuberculosis prevention and control

The Provincial People's Committee has recently issued a document requesting provincial departments, agencies, organizations, and localities to strengthen measures to prevent and control tuberculosis.

The Provincial People's Committee requests that departments, agencies, localities, and units continue to thoroughly understand and effectively implement the national strategy for tuberculosis prevention and control until 2020 and with a vision to 2030.

Strengthen public awareness campaigns on tuberculosis prevention and control; review and update professional guidelines on the detection, diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of tuberculosis in accordance with the Ministry of Health 's guidelines.

Ensure adequate resources, especially treatment drugs, to support tuberculosis prevention and control efforts in the area. Strengthen the capacity of the medical examination and treatment system, particularly the primary healthcare system, in detecting, managing, treating, and preventing tuberculosis.

Effectively implement measures to prevent and control tuberculosis in the community.
