Strengthening the effective implementation of the Law on Disease Prevention at the grassroots level.

On May 26th, the Ministry of Health held an online conference to disseminate Government Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP, which details and guides the implementation of several articles of the Law on Disease Prevention. Attending from the Son La branch were leaders of the Department of Health; representatives from provincial-level specialized hospitals, the Provincial Center for Disease Control, and the Provincial General Hospital.

An online conference was held to disseminate Government Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP, which details and guides the implementation of several articles of the Law on Disease Prevention.

At the conference, delegates were briefed on the key contents of Government Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP dated May 15, 2026, which focuses on clarifying the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, and individuals in disease prevention; inter-sectoral coordination mechanisms; procedures for monitoring, detecting, and handling outbreaks; and guidance on ensuring resources for preventive health activities and implementing policies for the care and protection of people's health.

Decree 165/2026/ND-CP was issued to concretize the provisions of the Law on Disease Prevention, creating a synchronized and unified legal framework for the implementation of disease prevention work from the central to local levels, ensuring improved effectiveness of state management in the field of preventive medicine, proactively controlling epidemics, limiting the risk of outbreaks of infectious diseases, and meeting the requirements of people's health care in the new situation.
