Increase the discharge rate of the Ban Coc hydroelectric reservoir.

On October 6th, the Provincial Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 54/TB-BCH regarding increasing the discharge flow from the Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir.

The announcement stated: At 12:00 PM on October 6, 2025, the Provincial Civil Defense Command received Announcement No. 09 from Ban Coc Hydropower Plant - Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the operation of water release from Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe and proper operation of water discharge from the Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir, as per approved procedures, the Ban Coc Hydropower Plant - Que Phong Hydropower Joint Stock Company announces the planned water discharge from the Ban Coc Hydropower Reservoir starting at 4 PM on October 6, 2025; with a total discharge flow of 11.16 ^m³ /s - 500 ^m³ /s (including discharge through the sluice gates, spillway, and power generation through the turbines), and this may change depending on the inflow into the reservoir.

The Ban Coc hydroelectric reservoir will cease discharging water when the reservoir water level does not exceed the normal water level at 376m and is unlikely to rise again.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command hereby informs: the People's Committee of Que Phong Commune; the heads of provincial departments and agencies to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Ban Coc Hydropower Plant, so that necessary measures can be taken to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
