The Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC) has just announced an increase in toll fees on four expressways under its management.
Specifically, VEC will increase toll fees by 12% for the Noi Bai - Lao Cai, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh, and Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressways. The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway will see a 5% increase.

With the above fare increases, the toll for a passenger car traveling the entire length of the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway is 82,880 VND, for the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway is 189,280 VND, for the Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway is 216,160 VND, and for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway is 105,000 VND.
In addition, businesses will continue to apply the 8% VAT rate from January 1st to June 30th, based on the tax reduction policy of the Government and the National Assembly.
VEC stated that the fare increase was implemented according to a plan and had been reported to the competent authorities. The company increased fares to ensure cash flow to fulfill financial obligations and achieve investment goals for highway development.
