Increase government interaction

Người Lao ĐộngNgười Lao Động13/03/2024

In recent years, highly interactive websites often have chat windows for users to immediately communicate with the customer service department. From sending requests and waiting for a while to receive a response, this interaction has been upgraded, with people available to respond and directly communicate with users. As AI technology, especially generative AI, becomes popular, more and more places are applying AI assistants to interact with users. There are currently many providers of pre-built AI assistants that can be customized to the reality of each organization and agency. There are providers of "Made in Vietnam" AI assistants that are highly adaptable.

Some large cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, etc. have implemented programs and projects to develop smart cities. In particular, the areas of great interest areeducation , healthcare, transportation, public services, public administration and e-government, and smart tourism.

Within the framework of the Vietnam - Asia Smart City Conference 2023 in Hanoi at the end of 2023, the workshop "Building a smart city with people and businesses at the center" was held. Mr. Vu Viet Hung - consultant, Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation - said that regarding the goal of digital transformation of districts and towns, regarding digital government, it is necessary to improve the management and operation of the government, increase the interaction between the government and the people. Thanks to the interaction, people can transact, contact, and perform public administrative procedures online; while the authorities can also process, resolve and return the results of those procedures online. That requires seamless connectivity.

In the first year of implementing the mini app model (a small application within a main application), within just 9 months (by the end of 2023), a social networking platform in Vietnam has had 12 provinces choose this model as a channel for interaction and providing official online public services and utilities to the people. Notably, up to 22% of mini app users in the provinces are people over 45 years old - people who are disadvantaged in technology.

The digital government model will not be able to fully develop its effectiveness if the connection between people and the government lacks interaction, especially real-time interaction.
