Attracting investment
Resolution No. 07 dated May 4, 2021, of the Provincial Party Committee on the development orientation of the Southeast region of the province until 2025, with a vision to 2030, is the foundation for Thang Binh to create momentum for the development of the Eastern region.
On July 19, 2021, the Thang Binh District Party Committee issued Action Program No. 09, directing the District People's Committee and the Party committees of the eastern communes to manage planning, current status, construction order, land, and environment, and to focus on effectively implementing compensation, land clearance, and resettlement, creating clean land funds to implement key projects and attract investment projects to the eastern region.
Every year, the Thang Binh District People's Council concretizes the development goals of the eastern region of the district into socio -economic development resolutions for the District People's Committee and localities to implement effectively.
Thang Binh District regularly monitors the situation at the grassroots level, reviews and promptly reports and makes recommendations to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and relevant departments and agencies regarding difficulties and obstacles encountered during implementation. This allows for guidance in resolving issues, adjusting, and supplementing regulations and policies, creating favorable conditions for the development of the eastern region of the district and attracting investment.
Infrastructure in the eastern part of Thang Binh district is becoming increasingly modern. Many transportation routes have been invested in and put into use, such as the expansion project of Road 129 (Vo Chi Cong) phase 2, Binh Dao bridge on National Highway 14E, Binh Nam 1 and Binh Nam 2 bridges, upgrading of DT.613 road in Binh Duong commune, upgrading of DT.613B road in Binh Minh commune, etc.
Currently, Thang Binh district is focusing on land clearance and implementation of the Binh Sa to Binh Hai bridge project, land clearance for component projects of the 2 roads connecting from Vo Chi Cong road to Dong Que Son Industrial Park, connecting to National Highway 14H and National Highway 1, and the Central Region Linkage Project of Quang Nam province...
The district has focused on attracting investment. In recent times, the district has coordinated with provincial departments and agencies to attract investment for the development of numerous projects such as Vinpearl Nam Hoi An, Bliss Hoi An Beach Resort & Wellness, the curtain fabric manufacturing plant project of Hyosung Group, and the industrial park infrastructure investment project of Capella Quang Nam Joint Stock Company…
To date, these projects have become operational, creating jobs, shifting the economic structure towards the strong development of service, trade, and industrial sectors, contributing to the budget, creating a new look for the eastern region, and providing impetus for socio-economic development of the district.
New motivation
According to Mr. Phan Cong Vy, Secretary of the Thang Binh District Party Committee, the important task for developing the eastern region of the district from now until 2030 is to effectively manage planning, current conditions, construction order, and land use.
Based on the focused implementation of the district's regional planning until 2030 according to Decision No. 339 dated February 7, 2024, of the Provincial People's Committee, Thang Binh district, in coordination with the Department of Construction, is finalizing and submitting for approval the general urban planning project for Binh Minh commune, striving to develop Binh Minh commune into a type V urban area by 2025.
The district, in coordination with relevant provincial agencies, is researching and developing the Nam Thang Binh Industrial Park project to contribute to socio-economic development and address the abundant local labor force.
According to Mr. Vo Van Hung, Chairman of the Thang Binh District People's Committee, focusing on diversifying resources for investment and development, and completing the infrastructure system in the eastern region is an important task and solution to create a ripple effect, driving force, and impetus for socio-economic development.
Thang Binh is mobilizing resources to develop infrastructure in conjunction with restructuring the eastern region's economy towards services, tourism, industry, marine economy, agriculture, and high technology.
The district of Thang Binh continues to prioritize investment promotion and attraction in the eastern region. The locality is accelerating activities to promote and introduce the region's environment, policies, and potential to attract investment.
According to Mr. Vo Van Hung, the district will coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to implement many in-depth cooperation and promotion activities with provinces and cities nationwide; and will research and organize working groups to exchange and learn from experiences in attracting investment both within and outside the province.
Thang Binh district's policy is to select capable and experienced investors to invest in and develop concentrated coastal tourism areas, high-end service, entertainment, and resort areas with unique products to form a chain of high-end coastal tourism and services along the Truong Giang River and Vo Chi Cong road.
"Combining community-based tourism development with the promotion of traditional craft villages and rural ecotourism; developing seaside resorts, entertainment areas, tourist seaports, seaside squares, and rural ecotourism will create more impetus for the development of the eastern region of the district," Mr. Hung said.
