From the time she was born at Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital until she received attention from the authorities, TLBH (born in 2022) remained an "undocumented" citizen. The reason stemmed from complications regarding her household registration. Ms. LTMT (BH's mother) has a permanent residence registration in Hanoi , while in reality she no longer lives there, but is temporarily residing in Da Nang, leading to delays in the child's birth registration process.
Following the administrative reorganization, Ms. MT's family registered for temporary residence in An Khe ward. During this time, after receiving information, the People's Procuratorate of Region 3 - Da Nang verified and discovered the case of TLBH.
Based on that, the People's Procuracy of Region 3 - Da Nang sent a letter requesting the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Khe Ward to direct the relevant departments to guide, complete the dossier, and register the birth of TLBH. Upon receiving the request, the People's Committee of An Khe Ward actively and quickly coordinated with relevant agencies to review the dossier and carry out the birth registration procedure for BH in accordance with regulations.
On March 4, 2026, a delegation of officials from the People's Procuracy of Region 3 - Da Nang and An Khe Ward visited the temporary residence of Ms. Ltmt.T.M. to deliver the birth certificate of BH to her family. A bright future has been opened for the child. Although it was a small act, this action instilled confidence in the people and demonstrated the empathy of the ward's officials towards the difficult circumstances faced by the residents.
If BH's story reflects faith in the dedicated service of the police and civil servants, then the story of Anna, a tourist from Kyrgyzstan, is a testament to the international recognition of the An Khe Ward Police and local government's credibility. In April 2026, Anna lost her iPhone containing all her travel data in Vietnam. Returning home with regret, she tried her luck by sending a message through the An Khe Ward Police fanpage.
Surprisingly, the police officers did not ignore the request of the tourist from a foreign country. Through their professional skills and seamless coordination between forces, the phone was found. The subsequent cross-border return of the property was an extraordinary effort demonstrating unwavering dedication.
After receiving her phone back, Anna wrote in a heartfelt thank-you letter: “They are true superheroes, people who, unfortunately, are rarely featured in films. Kind and noble. Honestly, I didn’t even dare hope I would get my phone back. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped.”
Utilizing social media (Facebook, Zalo) as a channel for receiving feedback has helped the An Khe ward government become an "open, transparent, and responsive government." This contributes to affirming Da Nang's position as a safe, civilized, and hospitable city in the eyes of the international community.
Nguyen Le Mau Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of An Khe Ward, shared that in order to maintain the people's trust, the ward's Party Committee has set breakthrough goals to improve the quality of service to the people. Besides emphasizing the responsibility of leaders, the locality is also perfecting mechanisms to protect officials who dare to think, dare to act, and dare to innovate for the common good.
In particular, the motto "The people know, the people discuss, the people do, the people inspect, the people supervise, and the people benefit" should be concretized through clear procedures. When the people truly benefit from the fruits of development, trust will naturally be established and sustained.
Simultaneously, localities are strengthening the role of elected bodies; regularly engaging with voters, listening to and truthfully reflecting their opinions and aspirations so that policies do not fall out of sync with real life, and limiting the situation where policies are "correct on paper but difficult to implement in practice".
