The existing 63m2 apartment had walls enclosing the functional areas, inadvertently making the space feel cramped and lacking connection. To create a fresher and more distinctive space, the architect removed some walls and replaced them with arched frames.

These frameworks are arranged in an interlocking manner, creating voids through which spaces are conventionally divided while maintaining a connection between them.

With no boundaries between walls and ceilings, the arched frames create spaces of depth and intrigue, breaking away from the monotonous image often seen in small apartments.
