The Prime Minister suggested that Ericsson Group strengthen cooperation with Vietnam, not only expanding trade but also promoting in-depth, strategic, long-term cooperation, focusing on research and development, building a research and development center in Vietnam, promoting technology transfer; developing digital infrastructure, promoting artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things, building data centers; cooperating and supporting the development of 5G, 6G technology, developing satellite Internet instead of fiber optic Internet; training human resources; sharing experiences, providing policy advice; supporting Vietnamese corporations and partners to participate in the global supply chain.

Emphasizing the importance of time, intelligence and timely decisiveness to successfully implement the work, the Prime Minister said Vietnam wants to exploit outer space, underground space, and sea space, promoting innovation, creativity and integration.

Vietnam wishes and is ready to have a long-term strategic cooperation with Ericsson. The Group can turn Vietnam into a base for cooperation and investment and a pilot site to implement new ideas, cooperate and compete healthily with other large corporations.

In the spirit of “harmonized benefits, shared risks,” listening and understanding, sharing vision and action, working together, enjoying together, winning together and developing together, the Prime Minister suggested that Ericsson Group continue to exchange with Vietnamese agencies and partner enterprises. He personally is also willing to continue to exchange with the Group to promote deeper, broader, stronger, more drastic and more effective cooperation, to implement specific projects and tasks in the coming time in the fastest and most effective way, contributing to bringing the Vietnam-Sweden relationship to a new height.

The Prime Minister said that to promote digital transformation, the Vietnamese Government is implementing many breakthrough programs and policies, including proactively and actively perfecting many legal documents to remove difficulties and create a favorable environment for the digital transformation process; investing in and modernizing digital infrastructure, prioritizing the development of digital data, and actively training and developing high-quality human resources for the digital industry.

Agreeing with the Prime Minister's opinion, the Chairman of Ericsson Group affirmed that the Vietnamese market is very important to Ericsson; believing that Vietnam is on the right track and will be a leading country in the digital economy, and can become a locomotive for the latest technologies.

The President of Ericsson Group said that they will continue to cooperate with Vietnam, ready to cooperate in developing a research and development center in Vietnam to utilize capacity to create differences, new values, apply new technology solutions, and then export to other countries.

Emphasizing that the Group wanted to choose Vietnam because it recognized the Vietnamese Government's commitment to digitalization, Vietnamese businesses' aspirations, and Vietnamese engineers' great potential, Mr. Borje Ekholm said that he would discuss specifically with Vietnamese partners and units about the opportunities and hoped to continue receiving support in the upcoming cooperation process./.
