FPT Group commences construction on two key projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

These two projects are among the works celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and also affirmFPT 's long-term commitment to investing in building technology infrastructure, developing high-quality human resources, and forming innovation ecosystems in localities.

Specifically, in Gia Lai, FPT commenced construction of an 11.13-hectare Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Center with three main functional zones: an AI research and digital technology service production center; a research, application, and testing zone for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); and a data infrastructure center. The project aims to promote innovation, investment, and research in artificial intelligence, thereby attracting and retaining high-quality human resources and gradually transforming Gia Lai into an international AI hub.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Artificial Intelligence Research Center project, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung emphasized that the commencement of construction of the Artificial Intelligence Center, invested by FPT Group in Gia Lai, is of special importance. This is not only one of the key projects of Gia Lai province, but also one of the exemplary technology infrastructure projects of the whole country.

On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated FPT Group's early identification of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud computing as core technologies; demonstrating a determination to invest systematically, long-term, and master the technology. This is a correct approach, consistent with the general development trend of the world and the strategic direction of the country's science and technology development in the coming period. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that with FPT Group's investment and the determination and efforts of Gia Lai province's leaders, the Artificial Intelligence Research Center will not only play its role in Gia Lai, Central Vietnam, and Vietnam, but will also become a leading Artificial Intelligence center in Southeast Asia and Asia in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony for the Artificial Intelligence Research Center Project in Gia Lai province is a significant event, demonstrating FPT Group's determination to implement the cooperation agreement with the former Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province) to carry out Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

In Quang Ninh, FPT commenced the Investment Project for the Construction and Business of Technical Infrastructure in the Tuan Chau Concentrated Digital Technology Park, covering an area of 8.94 hectares. The project aims to build a comprehensive infrastructure to attract businesses in digital technology, AI, Big Data, IoT, cybersecurity, and R&D, contributing to the development of high-quality technology human resources, promoting digital economic growth, and enhancing the competitiveness of Quang Ninh province in the new development phase.

At the Tuan Chau Digital Technology Park, FPT Group plays the role of infrastructure investor and the creator and operator of the digital technology ecosystem. FPT aims to develop the Tuan Chau Digital Technology Park into a long-term workspace, research and innovation hub, prioritizing the attraction of software, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, IoT, and cybersecurity businesses. This will create a concentrated digital technology ecosystem, contributing to the promotion of the digital economy and enhancing the competitiveness of Quang Ninh province.

Mr. Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, said that the Tuan Chau Concentrated Digital Technology Park Project is of great importance in creating a technical infrastructure foundation, development space, and investment environment for digital and information technology activities in the next stages.

In the context of science and technology, digital transformation, and innovation as the driving force behind breakthroughs to usher the country into a new era, FPT Group announces the establishment of a Strategic Technology Steering Committee, comprising five units: Quantum AI and Cyber Security Institute (QACI), FPT UAV, FPT Railway Technology (FMT), FPT Cyber Security, and DC5. This is a strategic move by FPT aimed at mastering core technologies and building a high-quality workforce for national technological sovereignty. Science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are considered by Vietnam as top priority breakthroughs, the main driving force for reforming the development model, and realizing the goal of becoming a high-middle-income developing country by 2030 and a high-income developed country by 2045.

The 11 national strategic technology groups have demonstrated their indispensable pivotal role in all areas of the economy, national defense, and national security, reflecting the concept of technological self-reliance. Always at the forefront of new technological trends and involved in developing numerous IT infrastructures in key sectors of the economy since its inception, FPT is committed to continuing to work alongside the nation in mastering technology.
