Lifesaving training on board the An Giang Province Standing Militia Squadron

On the morning of August 8, the Department of Military Engineering (General Department of Logistics and Engineering) coordinated with the Department of Logistics and Engineering (Military Region 9), the Military Command of An Giang province and Hai Phong Polytechnic College to organize the opening of a lifesaving training course on board the ship of the An Giang Provincial Standing Militia Squadron.

The training course took place over 3 days from August 8 to 10, with many contents such as instructing and training officers, technical staff, and soldiers on the An Giang Provincial Militia Squadron to skillfully use life-saving equipment on board, especially self-inflating life rafts according to the establishment. Training officers and soldiers on techniques for using life rafts, using technical equipment on life rafts, swimming techniques when using personal life jackets, survival skills to rescue people in distress, etc.

Colonel Mai Van Kiem, Deputy Head of the Ship Engineering Department, Military Engineering Department, requested teachers to take classes seriously, impart basic knowledge and practical experience to students, helping students understand and absorb easily; focus on training in the practical use of equipment. Students must be serious throughout the learning process, improve their knowledge and skills and apply them flexibly, creatively and effectively to actual work.
