The interdisciplinary food safety inspection team of the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward (An Giang Province) organized a food safety inspection on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2025).

From September 15 to October 24, the delegation inspected food production, processing and trading establishments, catering service businesses, street food businesses, ready-to-eat meal suppliers and other related organizations and individuals during the peak period of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2025).

The delegation focused on inspecting high-risk foods such as drinks, daily food, food with short shelf life, cakes, jams, etc. At the same time, they checked legal documents such as business registration certificates, food hygiene and safety certificates, food product quality standards declaration documents, periodic health check-up registration documents for people directly involved in food processing, production, and trading, product origin documents, goods, raw materials, food additives, etc.

Through the inspection, the members of the evaluation team generally assessed that food production, trading and processing establishments; food service establishments performed quite well in the field of ensuring food safety and hygiene; complied with legal procedures; food processing ingredients had clear origin and source, had production time, usage time and products were still within their expiry date...

However, there are still some establishments that do not comply with legal procedures; food preparation and processing areas are not hygienic, food processing tools are not neatly arranged, trash bins are not placed in a hygienic manner, etc. For establishments that violate the regulations, the delegation has propagated, reminded, and handled them according to regulations.
