On the morning of January 10, the State Bank of Vietnam , Dak Lak Province Branch (SBV) held a conference to review banking activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.

Attending the conference were Party Central Committee member, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Thi Thu Nguyet; leaders of the banking sector and bank branches, credit institutions (CIs) in the province.

In 2024, local credit institutions effectively implemented the key tasks of the banking sector, directing credit to production and business sectors according to the Government's policy, ensuring safe and effective credit activities. Total mobilized capital reached VND 96,537 billion (up more than 16.1%) compared to the beginning of 2024. Total outstanding loans to the economy reached VND 168,595 billion, up 11.05% (up VND 16,773 billion) compared to the beginning of 2024; of which, loans to agriculture, forestry and fishery were VND 38,730 billion, industry and construction were VND 18,140 billion, trade and services were VND 111,725 billion.

Directing credit institutions to prioritize capital support for lending to priority, key and advantageous sectors of the province. In particular, the agricultural and rural sector has outstanding loans of VND 83,900 billion, accounting for nearly 50% of the total outstanding loans of the economy; of which, outstanding loans for key agricultural products (coffee, pepper, rubber) reached VND 26,013 billion (accounting for 31%). Bad debt of the whole system is at VND 1,820 billion, accounting for 1.08% of total outstanding loans.

During the year, the provincial State Bank conducted 21 inspections, checks to prevent, detect and strictly handle risks, problems and violations; coordinated with the provincial Police and the provincial Border Guard to strengthen the prevention and fight against counterfeit money; implemented regulations on foreign exchange activities and gold trading. At the same time, credit institutions in the area continued to effectively implement the Project on non-cash payments; digital transformation of the banking sector; Strategy for information technology development in the banking sector to 2025, with a vision to 2030...
In 2025, the banking sector strives to achieve the target of increasing locally mobilized capital from 14% - 16%; increasing outstanding loans to the economy from 11% - 13% and controlling the bad debt ratio below 3% of total outstanding loans. Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha praised the efforts of the State Bank of Vietnam in directing credit institutions to continue implementing credit and interest rate solutions to remove difficulties for production and business activities and support the market. At the same time, he requested that the banking sector should have practical solutions for safe and effective credit growth.
