The Inter-sectoral Steering Committee is responsible for researching, advising and proposing to the Commune People's Committee policies, solutions, mechanisms and policies in state management of food safety and hygiene; assisting the Commune People's Committee and the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee in handling inter-sectoral issues on food safety and hygiene; directing, monitoring, inspecting and urging units to effectively implement state management of food safety and hygiene; organizing interim and final reviews every 6 months and annually; reporting to the Commune People's Committee on the implementation of food safety and hygiene work. The specific tasks of each member are assigned by the Head of the Committee and implemented according to the operating regulations of the Steering Committee.
