On the morning of December 1, Ship 015-Tran Hung Dao (Tran Hung Dao Ship) of Brigade 162, Naval Region 4, and the Vietnam People's Navy delegation led by Colonel Nguyen Vinh Nam, Deputy Commander of Region 4, docked at Qingdao port, Shandong province (China).

This is the first destination of the delegation during its diplomatic visit to China, Japan and South Korea.

The welcoming ceremony for the Tran Hung Dao ship and the Vietnamese People's Navy delegation was solemnly held at Qingdao wharf, chaired by representatives of the North Sea Fleet General Staff, Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Colonel Do Trong Duong, Deputy Defense Attaché of Vietnam in China.

After the welcoming ceremony, Chinese naval officers visited the Tran Hung Dao ship. The working delegation and officers and soldiers of the Tran Hung Dao ship visited the Weifang ship of the Chinese Navy.

The delegation and officers and sailors of the Tran Hung Dao ship will pay courtesy visits to the leaders of the North Sea Fleet and the Qingdao city government; and participate in a number of exchange activities with the Chinese Navy. The Tran Hung Dao ship will conduct joint exercises at sea with Chinese naval vessels.

These activities contribute to strengthening cooperation, enhancing understanding and trust between the navies and armies of Vietnam and China.

Previously, on the voyage from Cam Ranh Military Port ( Khanh Hoa ) to Qingdao Port, despite complex weather conditions, big waves, and strong winds, officers and soldiers of the Tran Hung Dao ship maintained strict military discipline, ensuring the ship's technical equipment operated well and the voyage at sea followed plan, with absolute safety.

Navy conducts live-fire training at sea. The fleets of the Naval Region 5 Command conduct live-fire training at sea. This is to put troops in more realistic situations, meeting modern combat requirements.
