Ship 404, Naval Region 4 receives fishermen in distress to Truong Sa island for treatment

On the afternoon of September 24, Ship 404, Naval Region 4 handed over a patient diagnosed with acute appendicitis by military doctors on Tien Nu Island to Truong Sa Island for treatment and emergency care.

While Ship 404, the Naval Region 4 Command, was performing patrol and control duties in the Tien Nu Island area, Truong Sa archipelago, at 8:00 p.m. on September 23, it received orders from superiors to organize a mobile operation to receive a patient, a fisherman, who was diagnosed with acute appendicitis by Tien Nu Island military medics and brought to Truong Sa Island for treatment.

Immediately after that, Ship 404 took action, maneuvered, approached fishing boat BD 97906 TS at 20:20 on September 23, picked up the patient and brought him aboard for safe care. Accompanying the patient to take care of the patient were 1 relative on the fishing boat and 1 military medic from Tien Nu Island.

The patient's name is Le Dinh Bin, born in 2009, from Binh Dinh, on the fishing boat BD 97906 TS captained by Mr. Ngo Van Quan, born in 1968, from Binh Dinh, the boat departed on August 20 from Quy Nhon fishing port, Binh Dinh, with 6 people on board, the boat was fishing with purse seine.

Previously, victim Le Dinh Bin, while working at sea, suffered from abdominal pain of unknown cause. At that time, fishing boat BD 97906 TS was in Tien Nu Island's port. At 4:00 p.m. on September 23, the patient was taken to Tien Nu Island by fishermen for emergency treatment, diagnosis, and transfer to a higher level of treatment.

After bringing the patient onto the ship, the medical team of Ship 404 performed first aid and provided special health care to the victim. Currently, the victim's health is conscious and stable. At 5:10 p.m. on September 24, Ship 404 approached and docked at Truong Sa island to hand over the patient to the island for treatment and emergency care according to regulations.
