Ship CSB 8004 begins visit and exchange in Korea

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of November 4, ship CSB 8004 docked at the port of Yeosu city, South Jeolla province, South Korea, with the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation led by Colonel Le Thanh Hai, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Region 1, to begin a visit and exchange with the Korean Coast Guard. The welcoming ceremony was held solemnly right after the ship docked.

Welcoming the delegation of the Vietnam Coast Guard, the leaders of the Korean Coast Guard Academy expressed their joy at the positive developments in the relationship between the two forces, and affirmed that the Korean Coast Guard in general and the Korean Coast Guard Academy in particular will make efforts to join the Vietnam Coast Guard in successfully organizing this exchange program.

On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Le Thanh Hai expressed his joy at visiting and exchanging with the Korean Coast Guard Academy in the beautiful and hospitable city of Yeosu. Colonel Le Thanh Hai thanked the leaders of the Korean Coast Guard Academy for their warm and friendly welcome and expressed his belief that the visit and exchange program will be a great success, continuing to contribute to promoting the development of relations between the two forces.

This visit and exchange is of great significance, as it is an activity to concretize the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two forces signed in 2007. Through the visit, officers and employees of the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Korean Coast Guard have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share and exchange experiences in law enforcement at sea, thereby contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Korean Coast Guard in the coming time.

As planned, within the framework of the visit and exchange in Korea, officers and staff of ship CSB 8004 will participate in activities, including: paying courtesy visits to leaders of the Korean Coast Guard Academy; visiting and exchanging at the Korean Coast Guard Academy; sports exchanges; cultural tours and joint training in search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting with ships of the Korean Coast Guard.
