Indonesian Navy ship visits Vietnam.

( Bqp.vn ) – To enhance mutual understanding and trust, and deepen the friendly cooperative relationship between the navies of Vietnam and Indonesia, on August 19, the Indonesian Navy's KRI Bung Tomo-357 docked at Nha Rong Port ( Ho Chi Minh City) to begin its visit to Vietnam. Attending the welcoming ceremony were representatives from the Foreign Affairs Department (Navy); the Indonesian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City; and officers from Ship 17 (171st Brigade, Region 2 of the Navy).

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen The Hung presented flowers to congratulate the Indonesian Navy delegation on their visit and exchange in Vietnam.

From August 19th to 24th, the navies of the two countries will organize several programs, such as: friendly football and volleyball matches; a meeting and exchange between the navies of the two countries at Brigade 125 (Naval Region 2); officers and sailors of the KRI Bung Tomo-357 will visit historical sites and scenic spots in Ho Chi Minh City and conduct joint training exercises at sea.

The Indonesian delegation's visit to Vietnam aims to enhance coordination and cooperation in addressing common maritime challenges; to develop joint operational procedures at sea; and to maintain peace and stability, promoting increased cooperation at sea in a spirit of mutual understanding and respect, respect for the sovereignty , sovereign rights, jurisdiction, and legitimate interests of each country, and respect for international law.
