Farmers need to proactively prevent and control African swine fever
According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, no new DTHCP outbreaks were recorded during the week, but there are still 2 outbreaks that have not passed 21 days and need to be monitored and supervised.
Specifically, continue to monitor and handle the epidemic at a high-tech pig farm in Tan Hoi commune. Currently, the factory is implementing measures to disinfect, sterilize, isolate, care for, treat and increase resistance, temporarily stop importing new herds and continue to closely monitor the epidemic situation to prevent and control the spread.
At the same time, strengthen the work of disinfecting and sterilizing the environment around the farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Giong Tre quarter, Binh Minh ward (47 pigs were destroyed by ASF) to destroy pathogens existing in the environment.
Since the beginning of 2025, ASF has occurred in 24 households in 14 communes and wards in the province, destroying 1,181 pigs, with a total weight of nearly 44,000 kg. The outbreaks have been promptly handled, disinfected and sterilized according to regulations.
Specialized sectors strengthen the prevention and control of ASF in the province. Focus on closely monitoring the epidemic situation, early detection, and timely handling of outbreaks. Promote vaccination, disinfection, and sterilization, especially in high-risk areas and areas where there have been outbreaks. Strengthen propaganda and guidance for people and livestock facilities to strictly implement biosafety measures in animal husbandry and transportation./.
