Tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh won a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics

On April 17, Vietnamese sports received more good news when badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh officially got a ticket to the Olympics in France (Olympic Paris 2024) this summer.

This is the second consecutive time the tennis player from Phu Tho has participated in the Olympics, after his achievements at Tokyo 2020.

Nguyen Thuy Linh and the world's top tennis players have completed the 2024 Olympic qualifying round after the continental championships. The girl from Phu Tho has 48,350 points, ranked 17/35, in group 02 in the draw results for the 2024 Olympics.

On his personal page, Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player shared: "Hello everyone, for those who love, support and follow me throughout my journey, especially the 1 year of accumulating points to reach the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Today, I would like to officially announce that I have qualified to participate in this Olympics.

Let's look forward to our second Olympics, everyone. Thank you and gratitude to everyone. Wishing everyone peace and good health."

Up to now, Vietnamese sports have had 07 athletes with places to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics, namely Nguyen Thuy Linh (badminton), Nguyen Thi That (cycling), Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting), Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), Vo Thi Kim Anh (boxing) and Trinh Van Vinh (weightlifting).
