The total cost of implementing the program is 40 million VND, funded by the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Dien Bien province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh said that releasing animals is a practice deeply rooted in the compassionate spirit of Buddhism, and also has practical social significance by linking Buddhist teachings with the responsibility of protecting the environment and raising community awareness in the sustainable exploitation and use of natural resources.
