Thai Nguyen province has granted licenses for the exploitation of 186 mineral mining sites.

Thai Nguyen currently has a planned 425 mineral and material mining sites, of which 186 have been licensed for exploitation. This is an important resource serving socio-economic development, especially in infrastructure construction.

Over the past period, the provincial authorities have implemented a comprehensive range of solutions to enhance the effectiveness of state management in this field. These include focusing on reviewing and inspecting compliance with legal regulations at mining sites, while also promoting the application of technology in monitoring and managing mining operations.

Local authorities should enhance their role and responsibility in resource management, and promote community oversight in detecting and reporting violations.

These solutions contribute to overcoming geographical and topographical difficulties after the merger, and are a concrete step in realizing the objectives of Project No. 09-DA/TU on "Strengthening the management and effective exploitation of land, water and mineral resources associated with environmental protection and sustainable development in the period 2026-2030" in 2026.

In reality, businesses' awareness of complying with the law has gradually improved. Mineral exploitation activities are becoming more orderly, ensuring a balance between development and environmental protection.
