This morning (July 11), the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee held meetings of the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to carry out the process of electing the Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term.
Based on the results of implementing personnel procedures in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the Central Committee, and at the request of the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the Politburo agrees to nominate Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, for election by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, the Politburo appointed Mr. Trinh Viet Hung to the Provincial Military Party Committee and the Military Party Committee of Military Region 1.
As a result, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung was elected by the Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Trinh Viet Hung was elected to the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, replacing his predecessor, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai.
Previously, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai was appointed and elected to the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the Committee on Representative Affairs under the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
