Thai Nguyen Provincial Women's Union has coordinated the establishment and launch of 37 "Leaders of Change" clubs with 968 children participating (including 588 girls and 380 boys).
Of these, 29 clubs were established in schools in 6 districts implementing the Project and 8 clubs were established in communities in 2 districts of Vo Nhai and Phu Luong.
Organized 4 training courses on how to establish, operate and manage the "Leader of Change" club and self-protection skills; organized 9 club activity competitions on the theme of model activities in the form of dramatization at secondary schools in Vo Nhai district; organized 2 training sessions for 61 club members in Phu Do and Yen Trach communes (Phu Luong); 2 seminars on "Listening to children speak" and propagating laws on child abuse prevention, attracting nearly 300 students and members of the "Leader of Change" club at Tan Khanh Secondary School and Head of Tan Thanh Secondary School (Phu Binh) to participate...
In addition, the Union at all levels organized 2 training courses on: Dissemination of the handbook on organizing policy dialogues; organizing 4 monitoring sessions on the implementation of policies related to women and children in ethnic minority areas with more than 200 participants. According to the phase plan, the Project will organize dialogue sessions at commune and village cluster levels in the coming time.
