On the afternoon of December 12, Mr. Do Quang Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of T&T Group awarded the female players of Thai Nguyen T&T Club 560 million VND. This bonus is the effort of Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy and her teammates in the 2024 National Women's Football Cup. The tea team reached the final and met the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Club.
Thai Nguyen passed the group stage and met Phong Phu Ha Nam in the semi-finals. Against an opponent who had just won 3 absolute victories, Thai Nguyen T&T played convincingly, defeated Phong Phu Ha Nam and won the right to play in the final match.
Thai Nguyen T&T has a chance to win the National Cup.
In November, Thai Nguyen Club received more than 1.3 billion VND in bonus for winning the bronze medal in the National Women's Championship. In the next 5 years, Thai Nguyen Club aims to win the National Women's Championship and National Cup, qualify for the Asian Women's Cup and contribute athletes to the Vietnam Women's National Team.
Recently, Thai Nguyen Club has gone from being a "poor family" to a "big guy" in the Vietnamese women's football world. Many players such as Tran Thi Thu, Kim Thanh, Bich Thuy, My Anh have joined the tea team. Immediately, coach Van Thi Thanh and her team became championship candidates for every domestic tournament they participated in.
Even this team continues to aim to transfer some other players to increase their strength, aiming for the first title in the national championship - where Ho Chi Minh City has the advantage with 8 consecutive championships.
In the long term, as head coach, Ms. Thanh hopes to promote the development of young players trained by the team. That will encourage the development of the young generation to reach new heights, as well as create motivation towards the goal of having many Thai Nguyen players participating in the national team.
Thai Nguyen Club hopes to recruit talents from other clubs, and further attract overseas Vietnamese and foreign players.
