Up to now, Division 312 has mobilized 15 vehicles, more than 500 officers and soldiers, 15 boats and many support vehicles to evacuate people and property to safety.

The working group of Division 312 worked with Trung Thanh ward authorities to coordinate support plans for the people.

On October 7 and 8, units of Division 312 helped evacuate 1,435 elderly people and children; 300 pigs; 150 cows; 20 tons of poultry and 32 tons of rice.

The unit also embanked 100m of road to prevent erosion and overflow.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quang Huy, Political Commissar of Division 312, many residential groups in Trung Thanh ward (Thai Nguyen province) located next to Cau river are isolated; water levels are forecast to continue to rise.

Faced with that situation, on the morning of October 8, the unit commander continued to work with local authorities to grasp the local situation; give gifts to policy families with difficult circumstances; assign and encourage forces to be on duty, ready to respond in all situations, especially the elderly and weak.
