Thai VG is favored, Ogenus makes the judges argue

Episode 3 of Rap Viet season 3 aired on the evening of June 10, 2023 with many interesting details. Although there were no "explosive" factors like Quang Anh or 24k Right, episode 3 also had a contestant that made all 4 judges "fight for".

Appearing at the end of the show, contestant Mikelodic brought a gentle, pleasant musical space with a rap song with a folk melody called "Back to the Countryside" . The rap made the atmosphere of the studio so lively and attractive that all 4 coaches chose Mikelodic and 3 judges danced throughout his performance.

At the end of Mikelodic's performance, he received 89% of the audience's votes. Tran Thanh commented: "A contestant had 4 choices from the coach that made them stand up. This proves that this is a very potential factor."

Mikelodic made a strong impression.

Interestingly, when inviting the coaches to share about their performances, Tran Thanh called out Thai VG first. This coach also did not hesitate to admit that he had known Mikelodic for a long time: "I know you. In America, I listen to your music and exercise. I am your fan.

I know your potential, you are very talented. I like your style, simple and clean. I know everyone is picking on you but come on my team and we can do great things.

Meanwhile, B Ray said that he had always wanted to meet and collaborate with Mikelodic but only now had the opportunity. Andre also affirmed that he really liked the folk material that this candidate brought to the exam. Big Daddy especially admired the way Mikelodic used folk material.

3 judges enjoyed watching the 4 coaches "fight" for the contestant.

Faced with the enthusiastic invitation from the remaining 3 coaches, Thai VG could not sit still, he pressed the select button to express his excitement. Realizing that this coach was impatient, Tran Thanh did not hesitate to push aside Big Daddy who was "seducing" the contestant on stage so that Thai VG could express himself.

Thai VG's weakness is that he is not fluent in Vietnamese, so it is difficult to "compete" with smart coaches like B Ray or Big Daddy. Therefore, in "competitions", this coach often has difficulty gaining an advantage.

However, in this time of convincing the contestant, he not only received enthusiastic support from Tran Thanh but also the judges clearly favored him. Thai VG is especially fond of Mikelodic.

Hearing this, Tran Thanh immediately called on Thai VG to step up on stage and encouraged this coach to give Mikelodic a stronger persuasion: " I also want to bring Rap Viet to the world like him. The Vietnamese tone is very unique and he has shown that very well."

Although he really likes Mikelodic and is not afraid to "cut" other coaches to get this contestant on his team, B Ray made a surprising move by giving him to Thai VG: "If I have to give Mikelodic to someone, I will be very happy if it is Thai."

In the end, the judges concluded that Thai VG was the right coach for Mikelodic to create a breakthrough for this contestant. Under the enthusiastic favor of MC, B Ray and the judges, Thai VG finally won Mikelodic to their team.

Ogenus is said to resemble Son Tung MTP.

In episode 3, there was another contestant who made a strong impression on the coaches, Ogenus. He delivered a rap called "Nang" that was youthful , dynamic and exciting, making the whole stage light up. Ogenus was chosen by 3 coaches: Thai VG, Andre and Big Daddy.

Thai VG commented: “You remind me of Son Tung MTP and your inner strength is very strong. So I can see that all the audience in this room are going crazy over you. Your energy is so great that I think you and I are very compatible.”

Ogenus even caused a debate among the 3 judges because of disagreement in deciding whose team to put Ogenus on. In the end, all 3 judges unanimously agreed to put this contestant on Big Daddy's team.
