On the morning of December 9th, contractors mobilized vehicles and workers to lay asphalt concrete on several sections of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project.
According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, this is the first asphalt concrete paving section in package XL-05 for the Ben Tre side of the road. Following this, inspection and evaluation will be conducted according to regulations; if satisfactory, mass paving will be carried out.
Currently, the overall progress of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project has reached over 71%, 0.49% ahead of schedule. The main cable-stayed bridge section of Rach Mieu 2 is more than 16% ahead of schedule.
Asphalt concrete paving is being applied to some sections of the Rach Mieu 2 bridge project on the Ben Tre side.
Specifically, three bridges have been completed: My Tho, Tam Son, and Ba Lai bridges. Three more bridges are currently under construction: Xoai Hot, Rach Mieu 2, and Song Ma bridges.

Currently, the construction units are seriously implementing the "3 shifts, 4 teams" construction method, with 32 teams and 147 pieces of equipment, along with nearly 600 technical staff and workers.
Contractors are working at full capacity to ensure that the Rach Mieu 2 bridge is completed by April 30, 2025, 100% of the road section is completed by August of the same year, and the entire project is completed by the end of October 2025.
Disbursement of funds in 2024 exceeded 839 billion VND, reaching over 93.32% of the plan.
