Khánh Thi hopes to elevate Vietnamese dancesport to an international level.

With over two decades dedicated to DanceSport , champion Khánh Thi is not only the pioneer but also a persistent "torchbearer," leading this sport from nothing to become a source of pride for Vietnamese sports on the international stage.

When mentioning DanceSport in Vietnam, fans immediately think of Khanh Thi – dubbed the "Queen of DanceSport." Leaving the spotlight of competition as an athlete, she chose a quieter but more glorious path: becoming a coach, an international judge, and a figure shaping the future of DanceSport in her country.

Looking back at the early days, Khánh Thi's journey to bring this dance style to Vietnam was fraught with challenges. At that time, the concept of DanceSport was still very unfamiliar to the public, funding was limited, and training conditions were extremely lacking. Driven by her burning passion, she independently traveled abroad to learn from masters, meticulously acquiring knowledge and techniques of international standards to bring back and teach to generations of students.

That perseverance bore sweet fruit as Vietnamese DanceSport consistently won precious gold medals at the SEA Games and Asian Championships. Behind the exhilarating dance moves, the sweat, and even the blood of the athletes on the podium, there was always the presence of Khanh Thi. As head coach, she was not only strict in the training room but also a strong source of emotional support, helping her students overcome psychological pressure and shine.

Khanh Thi's aspirations

Not content with just regional achievements, the "Queen of DanceSport" has a much bigger dream. She has always harbored the aspiration to elevate Vietnamese dancers to world-class status, confidently competing on equal footing with European and Asian powerhouses. To realize this, Khanh Thi has devoted all her efforts to training young dancers, building professional dance centers, and regularly inviting leading international experts to provide training.

In addition, she actively organizes large-scale open tournaments, creating a high-quality training ground for young talents. According to Khanh Thi, for DanceSport to flourish, the most important thing is to build a solid and deep pool of successors. The emergence of talented young people confidently stepping onto the world stage today is the clearest evidence of her correct vision.
