U Minh Ha National Park covers an area of ​​8,527 hectares, located in the two districts of Tran Van Thoi and U Minh. The park currently boasts over 100 plant species and 198 animal species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and freshwater fish. A key attraction of the park is its abundance of perennial plants; besides melaleuca trees and various vines, the water surface is covered with a unique carpet of naturally occurring water hyacinths.

Water hyacinths reproduce most abundantly in the U Minh Ha forest.
