Mr. Nguyen Tan Truyen, Head of the Tourism Department of U Minh Ha National Park, said that the park has many different types of water hyacinth such as duckweed, water lettuce, water hyacinth, water lettuce, water lettuce, and water mulberry... These are aquatic plants with herbaceous stems that float on the water surface. Water hyacinths are very hardy and resistant to water pollution. During the rainy season, they reproduce very quickly, increasing in number many times over in a very short time. Water hyacinths have a water-filtering effect due to their ability to absorb heavy metals, so the water in areas where they grow is much clearer than in other areas.
In particular, the central area of the garden and the buffer zone are home to water hyacinths – a type of large-leaved plant with a beautiful bow-like shape, growing densely at the foot of the forest. The mother and baby water hyacinths intertwine like an endless green carpet floating on the water's surface, attracting visitors to explore and experience their beauty .
