News of Son Ngoc Minh and Long Nhat being prosecuted for drug-related offenses sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry on the morning of May 20th. Son Ngoc Minh attracted particular attention because he was once a social media phenomenon and had a brief period of success with the band V.Music in the Vietnamese music market.
V.Music rose to prominence between 2010 and 2013. The group's initial lineup consisted of four members: Pham Ho Anh, Tran Ngoc Khanh, Le Thien Bao, and Son Ngoc Minh. At that time, the group music model was beginning to decline in the Vietnamese market. V.Music achieved initial success thanks to the support of Ho Ngoc Ha. Later, audiences noticed V.Music for several outstanding qualities, such as the four members all having attractive appearances and singing styles that were easy to listen to and remember.

Son Ngoc Minh received more attention than any of the other four members. He had the most striking appearance and was the most active on social media.
V.Music once took the market by storm with two songs, "Beautiful Vietnam" and "My Homeland ." The group faced a crisis due to their live performance on the "Favorite Songs" program. After the disastrous live performance of "Beautiful Vietnam ," V.Music received a barrage of criticism from the online community, leading to the group's complete collapse as they were unable to recover.
When V.Music disbanded, the members almost disappeared from the music scene. Son Ngoc Minh once tried his hand at a solo singing career but was unsuccessful due to his limited vocal abilities. To this day, he is still referred to as a singer but has yet to have a hit song in his career.
After many years, the name Son Ngoc Minh has reappeared. Many viewers were surprised by the singer's changed appearance. The former idol of the youth has now been caught in a large-scale drug trafficking ring.
