At 7 PM tomorrow (May 17th), the highly anticipated professional MMA event series Gods of Martial Arts (GMA) will officially kick off at GMA Arena (Phuoc Kien, Nha Be).
GMA 2025 will be the starting point for a series of 8 major events throughout the year, including 4 Vietnamese Martial Arts tournaments and 4 International Martial Arts tournaments, bringing together the most elite fighters from Vietnam and countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia… creating a top-tier, highly competitive arena full of cultural identity.
Speaking before the official tournament, martial arts master Johnny Trí Nguyễn - General Director of God of Martial Arts Vietnam, said that witnessing the difficulties that fighters face when approaching a complex sport that requires time investment like MMA, God of Martial Arts continues to improve by adding a new weight class called Praying Mantis for fighters in the 53kg category.

Accordingly, alongside live streaming of the matches, this year's Shen Wu will continue to implement special programs revolving around the tournament's activities such as match highlights, fighter profiles, exclusive interviews, etc., which will also be released on various social media platforms… thereby further spreading the love of martial arts to Vietnamese audiences and serving as a bridge to bring the image of Shen Wu to domestic and international audiences.
Following the success of Vietnam Martial Arts 2024, which found 5 champions representing 5 weight classes: Nguyen Hoang Thach (Black Panther); Bui Truong Sinh (Golden Rooster); Mui Trong Vinh (Eagle); Nguyen Vu Phuong Hoai (Black Panther) and Ha The Anh (Mighty Tiger).

The first event of 2025, taking place tomorrow, will bring fans a series of top-tier matches, promising an exciting and dramatic atmosphere.
The highlight of this evening's competition will undoubtedly be the clash between two veteran fighters with a flamboyant fighting style: Tran Minh Nhut of Lien Phong Martial Arts School and Tran Trong Kim of PFC Phu Quoc.
In the Praying Mantis category (53kg), eight fighters will enter intense battles, most notably the match between World Muay Thai champion Le Hoang Duc (team 404) and Luong Trong Nghia (MMA Saigon). Other pairings include: Truong Quang Kiet vs. Huynh Quang Thien, Nguyen Huu Nghia vs. Bui Xuan Nguyen, and Dang Quoc Quang vs. Phan Ngoc Hieu.
In the remaining weight categories: Cobra (55kg): Pham Thanh Phong vs. Pham Van Hao; Black Panther (63kg): Vo Cao Tung vs. Pham Kim Quoc Huy; Golden Rooster (57kg): Ly Duol vs. Kpa Thuan; Mighty Tiger (68kg): Vu Hai rematch against Pham Anh Duc.
The entire Gods of Martial Arts (GMA) 2025 tournament will be streamed live by the organizers on the Gods of Martial Arts Fanpage and YouTube channel.
