Comrade Phan Thai Binh stated that, after 70 years since the Ha Lam - Cho Duoc struggle, especially since the complete liberation of Thang Binh district in March 1975, the Party Committee, government, and people of Thang Binh have united and are determined to build a more prosperous and beautiful district. To date, the socio -economic infrastructure has been invested in relatively comprehensively, basically meeting the needs of people for transportation and goods circulation, creating favorable conditions to attract investment. People's lives have improved significantly, per capita income has gradually increased over the years, the poverty rate remains very low, mainly consisting of households receiving social welfare support. The spiritual life of the people is increasingly rich. National security and defense are ensured. Many industrial and tourism service projects have been and are being invested in the district, thereby restructuring the economic sectors towards increasing the proportion of service and industrial sectors, creating jobs and increasing local budget revenue.
Entering a new phase of development, Thang Binh is a locality with many opportunities and advantages. Thang Binh is a driving force in the socio-economic development of the southeastern region of the province with many preferential investment mechanisms. The eastern part of the district still has room for development in tourism , services, urbanization, and industry. In particular, Thang Binh is one of the first localities in the province to have its district-level construction plan approved, with very specific development orientations.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh requested the Party Committee, government, and people of Thang Binh district to focus on implementing key tasks. Firstly, building on the spirit of the Ha Lam - Cho Duoc struggle and the heroic traditions of the homeland, Thang Binh needs to unite, be of one mind, and be determined to build the district into an increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern place. The goal is to achieve the status of a new rural district by 2026-2027 and upgrade the administrative unit to Thang Binh town by 2030, as outlined in the approved district-level development plan. The district needs to focus on building a clean and strong district-level Party committee and its affiliated organizations and branches, successfully completing assigned tasks. Thang Binh should urgently develop a plan to implement the Thang Binh district-level development plan and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval as a basis for implementation; simultaneously, it should coordinate with provincial departments and agencies to promptly appraise and submit for approval the zoning plans and detailed plans for functional areas. Propose investment in essential infrastructure projects according to the plan; promote and attract investment for socio-economic development in the district.
Thang Binh is a locality with many commune-level administrative units that must be reorganized according to regulations. Therefore, the reorganization of administrative units should be carried out immediately after the Resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; the arrangement of cadres should be made rationally, ensuring the best possible completion of assigned tasks and the handling of surplus assets in accordance with the law.
Thang Binh District needs to organize forms of education about the glorious traditions of the army and people of Thang Binh throughout history, especially the spirit of the Ha Lam - Cho Duoc struggle, for the younger generation; at the same time, it needs to have a specific plan and proposal to submit to the relevant authorities to renovate and repair the national historical relic "Site of the Ha Lam - Cho Duoc Struggle" in accordance with the regulations of the Heritage Law, combined with promoting the value of the relic and contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
