Workers' Month 2023 with the theme "Connecting workers, building organizations" is an opportunity to widely propagate in the Trade Union system and the whole society about the position, role and contributions of the working class in the revolutionary cause, especially in the period of promoting industrialization and modernization of the country.
Thereby strengthening the trust, class pride and enhancing the relationship between union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers with the Trade Union organization, contributing to building a strong Vietnam Trade Union organization.
Focus on taking care of the facility
To fulfill the task of caring for workers, especially during Workers' Month, the Provincial Federation of Labor recommends that all levels of Trade Unions continue to organize activities that are effective, practical, highly actionable, and oriented towards the grassroots, directly solving issues that workers are concerned about and are urgent, and suitable to the practical situation of the industry, locality, agency, unit, and enterprise.
Accordingly, grassroots unions have organized the program "Each grassroots union, one union member benefit" to carry out at least one specific task to take care of union members' welfare; organize "Workers ' Sports and Culture Festival", "Health Care Festival"; travel and vacation programs for workers; continue to sign and implement activities with welfare partners to bring benefits to union members and workers; organize "Discount Sales Week for Workers", "Connecting Hearts"...
During the Workers' Month, the Executive Board of the Federal Bay Industrial Joint Stock Company's grassroots trade union coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to organize meetings, commend, reward and thank workers; organize for union members to participate in the art and sports competition for civil servants, public employees and workers in the district on the occasion of welcoming the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, celebrating April 30 and May 1...
In addition, the Executive Board of the Trade Union also gave gifts to all union members with a total value of nearly 200 million VND; organized propaganda on laws on the rights and obligations of employees, employers, laws on employment, occupational safety and hygiene, salary regimes, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, laws on trade unions and other provisions of labor law.
“Through the activities of Workers' Month, we aim to better represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, creating more attention from the Party Committee, government, political system, business owners and the whole society for the working class according to the theme "Connecting workers - building organizations" of this year's Workers' Month", Ms. Dang Thi Truc Ly - Chairwoman of the Union of Federal Bay Industrial Joint Stock Company shared.
Kuo Yuen Tay Ninh Company Limited (Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Park, An Hoa Ward, Trang Bang Town) has over 400 workers, of which 172 are female workers. Every year, the Company's Trade Union Executive Committee proactively coordinates with the Company's Board of Directors to effectively organize activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, and at the same time, widely promote emulation among workers.
Accordingly, the Union organized monitoring of mid-shift meals, recommended the Company's Board of Directors to increase the quality of meals for workers to 25,000 VND/meal; organized visits, gifts, year-end parties on holidays and Tet, and visited union members in difficult circumstances and those who had work-related accidents with a total amount of 432,550,000 VND; launched emulation movements, the "Green - Clean - Beautiful" movement, protecting the aesthetics of the company and protecting the environment.
The Company's Trade Union has awarded 7 collectives with excellent labor achievements, not violating the company's rules and regulations with the amount of 7,000,000 VND; coordinated to thank 67 workers who have worked for the Company for 10 years with a total amount of 469,000,000 VND.

Recreational playground for workers
Kicking off the activities of this year’s Workers’ Month, the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union organized the 6th cross-country race, attracting more than 600 athletes to participate. This race is not only for workers and union members of companies in the economic zone but also for relatives and foreign experts as guests. All participated in the run with the spirit of “Staying healthy to study, build and protect the Fatherland”.
Ms. Nguyen Hoai Ly Uyen (New Wide Company) said that she and 9 other members of the company's Accounting Department registered to participate in the cross-country race. "I have never run before, nor have I participated in any cross-country or running race. This is the first time. I am very happy because I have conquered myself. After this race, I will try to spend time exercising and improving my health."
Not a member of the company union, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Nghia - working at a garage in Phuoc Dong commune, Go Dau participated in the cross-country race as a guest. Mr. Nghia shared: “My sister works at a company in Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, and she registered me to run with her. I often play sports like soccer, badminton, etc., so when I heard about participating in the running race, I was very excited. I hope that in the future there will be more competitions for people outside the company to participate like this.”
This year, for the first time, the Provincial Economic Zone Trade Union organized “Green Week - Accompanying workers” with many activities for workers. During the week, the Economic Zone Trade Union organized “Elegant workers”; “Workers’ singing” for the 7th time; culinary theme “Delicious dishes of my hometown”…
Ms. Le Thi Thuy Duong (a member of the Pou Hung Company Union) won the Miss title at the “Elegant Worker” contest and said that this was the first time she represented the company in the contest. “I saw that the Economic Zone Union organized a very large-scale contest, with famous actors and singers such as Truong Minh Quoc Thai, Nguyen Phi Hung, and Miss Tuong Vy attending; and also organized makeup and designed costumes for us to participate in the contest to be the most beautiful and sparkling.
Through this, I learned many new things from my friends and bonded with each other more. This is truly a useful playground, helping us to demonstrate our abilities and capacities that we rarely have the chance to participate in and demonstrate due to work on a normal day" - Thuy Duong shared.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Can - Chairman of Pou Hung Company's Trade Union said that participating in activities during Workers' Month organized by the Economic Zone Trade Union, the company won the Beauty Queen award, the Best Performance Style award, the First Prize in Cooking, the First Prize in Cross-Country Running and many other awards.
“Through competitions, the grassroots union discovers talents in the company, which is an opportunity for workers to participate, shine, and bring honor to themselves as well as to the company. From the success of the Green Week organized by the Economic Zone Union, we will learn so that we can organize meaningful activities at our union in the future,” said Mr. Nguyen Huu Can.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairwoman of the Economic Zone Trade Union, this is the first time the Economic Zone Trade Union has organized a series of activities for a whole week. The activities have attracted more than 20,000 workers and laborers to shop and have fun. Through the activities, people have been connected, truly demonstrating the theme of this year's Workers' Month, which is to connect workers together to build an increasingly strong trade union organization.
