Thanh Huong 'Quynh Doll' loves passionately after a breakup, avoids meeting her ex-husband

After the divorce, actress Thanh Huong enjoys single life. She still loves passionately and wholeheartedly, instead of being shy and afraid.

I have enough so I live comfortably.

- How do you feel about your first movie role?

For me, the ghost character Linh is interesting, creating explosive emotions for the film. Regarding the role, I prefer to listen to other people's opinions because if I judge myself, it will not be objective.

I am a little sad that many scenes were cut from the film. However, I still have to respect the crew and the director. I did my best, and editing and releasing the film depends on many factors.

- In the movie, you have quite a heavy physical interaction scene with Tien Luat and People's Artist Hong Van. Your co-stars said you hit them very hard, did Thanh Huong have any interesting experiences?

We have skills because if we hit each scene for real, the co-star would be deeply hurt. However, I still try to ensure the effectiveness of each scene. If we do it superficially and re-shoot many times, the co-star will suffer more.

Before each scene, we sat down and discussed thoroughly with each other. “U” Hong Van was grabbed by the hair by me, and Luat was slapped 3-4 times without missing a beat. They were old, I was very worried after beating them, constantly asking if they were okay.

- When everything is perfect, from position, money, income, how do you keep your attitude towards your career now?

I have enough so I live and work very comfortably. Of course, the definition of “enough” is different for each person, I do not compare myself with others.

I have food and clothes every day, have the conditions to invest in my roles, and can live my career without worry. That is happiness.

- Thanh Huong is increasingly sexy, confident and open. What does this change mean to you?

Sometimes I take off my makeup and I'm scared. (laughs) Just kidding, but I think a woman is beautiful because she doesn't have to think about anything. When she doesn't have to worry about food, clothing , and money , and her family is stable, she will naturally be comfortable.

In daily life, I like to pursue many styles, sexy images have existed for a long time, not recently. There is a saying "Show the good, hide the bad" , I think I am beautiful enough to occasionally show off a little for the audience to see. The things I share on my personal page are all positive and cheerful.

- After the divorce announcement, you became more discreet about your love life?

I will probably never announce who Thanh Huong loves, what her boyfriend is like. I am afraid that a story of happiness today will disappear tomorrow, that would not be good.

I have always been a quiet person, except when I need to speak up. Like my divorce with my husband, I didn't want people to misunderstand so I had to make a big announcement.

I had been out of a relationship for a long time, and then I went on a date with someone new. While sitting in a cafe on the street, people passing by wondered: “Hey, this woman is married and yet she’s sitting with someone else ,” forcing me to clarify.

As a woman, I have the right to pursue my own happiness and of course I have responsibility for it.

- How is your relationship with your ex-husband now?

We have been together for more than ten years, so divorce is a process, not a rush. No one wants this to happen, but it's time to stop.

My ex-husband and I divorced in a civilized and respectful manner, without any bitterness, hatred, or resentment. We still kept in touch with the only topic being the children. We did not discuss anything else privately, let alone meet.

I don't want our new partner to question our relationship. If I had a boyfriend, he definitely wouldn't like me to be so complicated.

- After divorce, women are more cautious, thoughtful and worried. Is the 1 year period from the announcement to the audience enough for you to "heal"?

For me, this is not a breakup, but a change. Before, life was two people, now it's just one person. Everything comes and goes for a reason.

I find joy in my work, enjoy being busy. I receive love from everyone, from my family, colleagues, to the audience. They are so sincere and loving that I realize that I can live without love.

Of course there are some lessons learned and some regrets, I have to accept. Whether I like it or not, I have to move on from the past. Luckily, I have regained my balance now.

- How do you feel about love right now?

Many people often ask me if I am shy about a new relationship. Honestly, I don't think much about it, I still get to know people and date normally. I love passionately, putting emotions first like when I was young.

We have to overcome the unhappiness to be more positive, if we keep being gloomy, how can we be happy? Sometimes 2 people stop and later 4 people will be happy, I often allow myself to think like that. (laughs)
