Establishment of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee

On December 26, the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to establish the Hoa Lu City Party Committee (Hoa Lu City) based on the merger of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee and the Hoa Lu District Party Committee, following the National Assembly Standing Committee's resolution on the merger of Hoa Lu District and Ninh Binh City, establishing Hoa Lu City under Ninh Binh Province.

Accordingly, after its establishment, the Hoa Lu City Party Committee Executive Board for the 2020-2025 term has 67 members; the Hoa Lu City Party Committee Standing Committee consists of 17 members. After its establishment, the Hoa Lu City Party Committee will have 123 grassroots party organizations with 16,621 party members.

The Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee has appointed Mr. Dinh Van Tien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ninh Binh City Party Committee, to the position of Secretary of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; and appointed Mr. Bui Thien Thi, Provincial Party Committee Member and Secretary of the Hoa Lu District Party Committee, and Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Lu District Party Committee, to the positions of Deputy Secretaries of the Hoa Lu City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The Hoa Lu City Party Committee will officially begin operations on January 1, 2025, the date when the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the merger of the two units comes into effect.

Mr. Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the merger of Hoa Lu district with Ninh Binh city to form Hoa Lu city is of great significance and a historical turning point for the Party Committee, government, military, and people of Ninh Binh city and Hoa Lu district.

Previously, on December 10th, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 1318/NQ-UBTVQH15, deciding to establish Hoa Lu City as a new district-level administrative unit of Ninh Binh province based on the merger of Ninh Binh City and Hoa Lu District.
