Lang Son College was officially established on August 27, 2025, after merging Lang Son Pedagogical College, Lang Son Medical College and Lang Son Vocational College. Lang Son College operates under the management of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee and aims to become a high-quality multidisciplinary training institution, preparing for the development into Lang Son University in the future.

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son announced the Decisions on appointing the new leadership of Lang Son College. Accordingly, Mr. Phung Quy Son (born in 1978, PhD in Literature, Senior in Political Theory), Principal of Lang Son Pedagogical College was appointed as Vice Principal in charge of Lang Son College from September 23, 2025 until the position of Principal of the school is completed.

The Vice Principals of Lang Son College include: Mr. Tran Thi Hanh (Vice Principal of Lang Son Vocational College), Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (Vice Principal of Lang Son Vocational College), Ms. Trinh Thi Xuan Quynh (Principal of Lang Son Medical College).

Presenting the decision to establish Lang Son College and giving flowers to congratulate the new leaders of the school, Permanent Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Duong Xuan Huyen emphasized 4 basic contents, in which Lang Son College needs to soon stabilize the organizational structure, ensure science, synchronization, and promote the strengths of each faculty and department before merging.

At the same time, build operating regulations suitable for the new organizational model, creating a foundation for effective management. Pay attention to building a team of staff and lecturers with professional qualifications, pedagogical skills and professional ethics, considering this a key factor determining the development of the school.

In addition, the school needs to clearly define the school's development strategy in the direction of multi-disciplinary and multi-field, promoting the traditional strengths of the three predecessor schools, while expanding new professions to meet the practical requirements of the province, with key economic fields and orientations for digital transformation, green transformation, high-quality vocational training, new professions, smart professions, professions with flexible adaptability, etc.

Appointing Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Dong Dang-Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone, as Deputy Director of the Lang Son Provincial Department of Industry and Trade.
