Inspection of the implementation of laws on fisheries for the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province

On the morning of August 14, the An Giang Provincial Inspectorate organized an announcement of the decision to inspect the implementation of the law on fisheries at the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province. Deputy Chief Inspector of An Giang province Nguyen Van Son chaired the announcement.

Mr. Tran Thai Thanh, representative of the inspection team, announced Decision No. 158/QD-TTr, dated August 8, 2025 of the Chief Inspector of An Giang province on inspecting the implementation of the law on fisheries in conjunction with the implementation of Resolution No. 52/NQ-CP, dated April 22, 2024 of the Government promulgating the action program and plan of the Government to implement Directive No. 32-CT/TW, dated April 10, 2024 of the Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing and sustainable development of the fisheries sector.

The inspection period is from January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2025 and related issues before and after the inspection period. The inspection period is 45 days from the date of announcement of the inspection decision.

At the announcement ceremony, An Giang Provincial Inspectorate announced the decision to establish a team to monitor the activities of the inspection team.

Deputy Chief Inspector of the province Nguyen Van Son affirmed that this is an inspection according to the province's inspection plan for 2025. During the inspection, the inspection team and the inspection team's supervision team must strictly implement the provisions of the Inspection Law 2025, Decree No. 216/2025/ND-CP dated August 5, 2025 of the Government and other relevant legal provisions.

The Deputy Chief Inspector of the province requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province to closely coordinate and promptly provide information and documents as requested, helping the inspection team complete its tasks.
